Donovan was born May 10, 1946 and is a Scottish singer, songwriter and guitarist. His style blends folk, jazz, pop, psychedelia and world music (calypso). Donovan became more internationally popular after signing with CBS/Epic Records in the United States. He has been active since 1964 to the present. Some of his most successful singles include Catch the Wind, Sunshine Superman, Mellow Yellow (below), Hurdy Gurdy Man and Atlantis. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2012 and the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2014. I just love Donovan's laid-back style. Here's my favorite tune: Mellow Yellow (below).
