To Binge Read A Book, Or To Enjoy It Slowly?

Usually when I get a new book I haven't read, or escape into an old one that I love, my initial instinct is to read as much as possible. I've been known to finish a book in a day, at times. I did this once with a book I received for a birthday gift, and my mother wanted to know why I didn't spread it out. My response was "of course i read the whole thing! What else are you supposed to do with a book once it's open?" I would not have asked for the book if i didn't plan on reading it several times, and in this case I have!!! It's one of my favourites.
As an adult I have less time to sit and read all day, much as I'd like to, so I've been reading the current Margaret Atwood Book over the period over a few weeks I'm still not half way through it. It's good enough that I'd have finished it in a day if I had the time.
What do you prefer to do with a book, binge read it, or spread it out? Why?

It depends. If I have the time or feel inclined to not do anything else, I will read all day. I haven't read much July to September, so won't reach my usual 200 this year.

You know, it just depends. If the book is really good? I am more likely to binge read it, atleast until I get to nearly the end. When I get to that point where I think the book is going to end to quickly? I like to stop and wait awhile (if I can) before picking it back up again.
Though it really does depend on the genre, the characters, the plot...

I binge read. I can't pit a book down until i am done it even if I have to stay up all night to read it.
