Homeschooling could sound great when one is too busy to pick up their kids from school when they are not ready to go to boarding school. However, I will never consider it for my kids. I would love them to enjoy what I enjoyed while growing up. You know, the idea of going to school with other kids. You play together, make friends, fight with others and compete in classwork and games. This is something so crucial for childhood, it forms a foundation for learning how to interact with people. I would do everything for my kids to go through this. What is your opinion? Would you consider homeschooling for your kids?

Some people seem to assume that homeschooling equates to social isolation, and that traditional schooling is the only way to learn social interaction. The irony of this is that groups in schools are limited - yes, there may be more people but social skills are more varied away from that structured environment. My children went/go to traditional school. If I'd been more confident and known more about homeschooling when they were younger, I may have considered it as an option. They have learned more social interaction away from school - especially my youngest as he prefers small groups of people with something in common rather than the crowds at school where he's expected to get on and interact with people for no reason other than they are of a similar age. Like my children, I didn't really have friends at school. I lacked social skills because I didn't get the opportunity to learn before/outside of school.

It would depend on where we lived and the schools, With all that is happening in this world today if I had kids now I would certainly consider homeschooling,
