Hope everyone had a nice Halloween. Went to my eye doctor appointment. My eye pressure was good and steady. We went to Longhorn Steakhouse after the appointment. We had a disappointing meal -- it was "meh". We did have a friend as a server for part of the meal; so that was pleasant. My husband had steak as usual; and he was disappointed in the tenderness. I had my chicken tenders. My salad was OK and the mashed potatoes and bread, of course; but my chicken tenders were way overcooked and hard and crunchy. I ordered a new side on the menu, Brussels sprouts; and they were large and undercooked. The smaller ones are good when cooked enough. Went home and watched Thursday Night Football and then a movie called "Get Out". No trick-or-treaters came to our door, as usual. It was really windy; and the temps dropped about 10 degrees from the time we left the house. I did surpass my MyLot goal for the month; but more important, I got to spend the month talking to all my MyLot friends! I am way behind on your Discussions because I was gone half the day. I will catch up with them and the Notifications as soon as I can!!! It's 40 degrees now (Friday); and we have another dreary day. Snow forecast for the next 3 days. Hope you all had a good Halloween. Sorry about the meal at Longhorn. We never ate there. We saw Get Out a while ago. Our friends had 200 visitors, but would have had more if it didn’t rain.

I was very close to the $25 mark last month and that was a little better than the summer but less than Sept. Its sad we have to pay for a meal that is so so.

I made almost $24 which was over my goal; but I had to spend a LOT of time here. Not that I mind, because I get to talk to my friends; but there are other things I should be doing! Yes, I don't like paying for a meal that's "meh". Our friend gave us the Family 25% discount which was nice of her...We consider her family too.

That's why I am not a big fan of dining out. Too many times less than.

That's good to hear about the appointment....but sorry to hear about the disappointing meal! You expect good food when you go out and pay for them to be made for you.
