Trisha Crowley who is the president of the volunteer group Rural Animal Rescue Effort (RARE) is being cheered by animal lovers when they went to Smyrna Tennessee today to take 10 puppies who were on the verge of being put down after the animal shelter in the Volunteer State due to overcrowding.
Thanks to the volunteers and a pilot that were responsible for taking the 10 puppies aboard the airplane from their former home in an animal shelter to new homes in Michigan, 10 puppies who would have been put down will now have a new lease of life as they are likely to be adopted by loving families who are willing to adopt a loving dog to be their companion soon.
In my book, volunteer rescue groups do not get the praise for their line of work from the national news media.

That is a good question since having a pet sterilized does cost a lot of money.

@Deepizzaguy Those who own a dog here are "obliged" to have them sterilized if they want to let them go out of the house. I think that it is a good policy to avoid unwanted stray dogs. We do not have stray dogs here. Sterilization is not expensive and if you can afford to have a dog and pay for the vaccinations and all the rest it's not the difference of 70$ that will kill you.

@LadyDuck You are correct since when my late mom and myself adopted a dog named Jubilee, before she could come home she was sterilized.

I am a dog lover and I admit that there is already an over population due to the growing number of dog breeders. Maybe there is a need for a law to control the population.

Overpopulation of dogs and cats in becoming a huge problem in America as well. The Price Is Right game show host Drew Carey at the end of the show advises people to "Control the pet population" by having the animals taken care of after birth.

@Deepizzaguy over here the sellers of puppies in the roadside definitely add to that problem.

That is true since many of my former dogs who are no longer with me were adopted via either a family friend of pet club.

Trisha Crowley is to be commended for helping to save the life of 10 puppies. I always like a dog story with a happy ending.
