Lately I have seen too many movies where people were beheaded.

Good morning, friends. Humberto brought to Aruba an awesome documental about the French revolution. We watched during the evenings while we sipped Jack Daniels (Dixie had her white wine) and ate nuts and raisins. The documentary was awesome, specially since I fell in love with Danton. Upon reading about the period online, I was shocked upon discovering that all of the revolutionaries had been dead before they were 40. Last night I watched a picture about Henry V of England on Netflix and he beheaded some people and killed a lot of others before he died very young. I will now check on more of these films. There are very interesting.. Have you seen some of them? Do you like them?

No I've never seen any of these documentaries. I like the Henry VIII period. A lot of people were beheaded then too.

I try to go for comedies. I'm not very fond of murder and mayhem although the documentaries are sometimes really interesting,

I like comedies too, if they are good. Some of the documentary and Historic movies I have seen are not just violence but a glimpse into another world.

@marguicha I think documentaries are preferable sometimes as it's all factual and not just made to look dramatic or whatever.

Henry the 8th beheaded Anne Boleyn, the mother of Queen Elizabeth the first. You can watch the Tudors movie and about Marie Antoinette of France.
