Cautionary Tale

A movie I watched earlier inspired this post.
It was a cautionary tale if ever there was one.
In it, a girl invited some guy she literally just met on a dating app, to have drinks at her house.
If she had thought out her choices a little better, she might have (at the very least) arranged their initial get together in a public setting.
That's a basic common sense safety protocol.
I know it was just a movie, but some people in real life take similar risks as the girl in the film, and sometimes it doesn't turn out well.

It is risky to invite a stranger into your home, I would always meet at public place at first. One of my friends met a man online and she invited him for coffee in her home. It went well, and nothing bad happened, but I think it is much too risky to meet that way when you don't the person at all.

I find most people are trusting initially, it's like it is hard wired into our being or something, our upbringing, our enviroment. We automatically trust until we get burned.
