Life should be a barrel of laughs for everyone

Are you riding your barrel joyfully or are you feeling more in danger of falling off of it?

Our life sits on a barrel of love, either mirthfully spinning around, being rolled along by it, or in trepidation of falling off, at any moment, and being crushed by that very same barrel. Life is then either hard or easy, but the danger is there, when you fear, rather than to love, life. Love life, and the barrel is your transport through life. Fear or hate life, and the barrel feels like a roller coaster weapon of destruction, which you never can quite ever fully control. So, my advice to you all is to stop trying to control life, and just roll along with your barrel, your body in this life. Go along for the ride. I promise you, I’m milking this ride for every glorious second I can get out of it! Life is a gift from God, and I cherish it and enjoy it. If I fall off the barrel, I just lick my wounds and get back up there.

Yes, that's a great attitude to live from. Get right back on the horse, (sorry, I meant barrel) every time you fall off of it. Life is indeed a gift from God to us. How we live it is our gift back to him, as I heard it put once.

Good you thought of the barrel as an image for going through life. When I was a child, we used to sing Roll Out The Barrel, and this song did cheer us up.

@innertalks Made us dance when we were children. I suppose that means we were happy.

@eileenleyva Yes, it's easier to dance and be happy, when we are still young.

Yes, that's a good, upbeat, cheerful song. The words would tend to cheer most people up, I would hope.

Yes, nicely put. If we always smile at what life brings us, we will be less negative about it too. We will show more gratitude and appreciation for life and for what it is, for ourselves, and for all.

For me, positive thinking only goes so far.

And negative thinking only goes so far too. It's better, to my mind, not be too attached to either negative, or positive thinking. Just ride along with life, no matter the bumps, or the rough, or the soft landings, whatever life brings to us, just take it as it comes, learn what you can from it, and move on. Why label our barrel, with labels such as positive, or negative, or slow, or fast, or rough, or smooth, or with anything else at all? Life is just what it is, mostly.

@yoalldudes Yes, I agree, it's good to move on, and not to get stuck in place too. Flexibility and balance helps in this.

Yes, there would not be much fun if it was all doom and gloom that we saw. A lot of life is about our own outlook on it.

I am riding on my barrel of life smoothly because there's God who catches me when I fall or maintain to balance it when I am out of equilibrium.

Yes, that's a great way to trust life, and God in that way too. I sometimes think that I am on the wrong barrel, but, if it is God that has put me there, for some reason , or another, I should learn to better trust his judgment too, I guess.

I am doing the very best I can to roll out the barrel and have a barrel of fun except for today when I got really sad news,

As long as you do not fear the sadness, it also will help the barrel to spin along too. Sadness is a very real part of life, and sadness is always being embraced by love too, if we allow it to do so.
