One author on his paper about mental crisis stated that statistics showed that suicides are very alarming especially to the people who belong to the group of post-millennials or those were born after 1994. And it is very alarming because it is stated that about 10 percent to 20 percent of the children, as young as 10 years old, suffer from mental health disorder that lead to the anxiety and depression and then lead to the suicidal. What is really happening to the children? What is affecting by their depression? Maybe because of the modern way of living right now. So modern that we people are so dependent with their modern technology: internet, mobile phones, laptops, smart watch among others. So modern that we are so dependent of answers and news in google, facebook, internet, youtube among other social networking sites and internet. And people tend to forget the most important thing to combat depression and suicidal… the family tradition of bonding and love. Where is the family that go to the church every Sunday and feed their thoughts of divine thinking? Where is the tradition of eating together and talk about each other concern? Where is the father and mother when the child need them most? They are busy in their work. No time to know what was happening to their children. They think that if they can provide their wants and needs, it is enough. Maybe we cannot stop the modern way of living through technology of the digital natives, but maybe we should not left the tradition of culture of Filipino Family to avoid this alarming chronic stress.

Mental disorders are becoming more and more common especially among young people, as you say here. The old family traditions need to be brought back I think.
