Will you still pray?

I have intense prayer to God to help me with my two problems, insomnia and nervousness. No matter how sincere my prayer. No matter how often I pray I still feel this irrational nervousness. I cannot control it. It is still there. No matter how I relax my mind I'm still attack by insomnia. I keep on praying to God but they remain. Why sometimes prayer does not work to solve my problems? Sometimes it work but not all the time.

The issue of prayer can be a long conversation. Try to learn how to be confident so you can fight off anxiety. Been there, done rhat. Only you can do it for yourself.

So you mean I have to rely on myself more than in prayers. Try to solve my problems alone or leave it to God's hand

Before you go to bed try to have a hot bath and use lavender essential oil it’s work. It can help you to sleep better.

Perhaps, it's time to work on your problems. Lack of sleep can cause nervousness so let's work at getting some sleep first. Things to do: Go to sleep and wake up at the exact time every day. Try taking melatonin starting with small doses. That is what the body itself uses. If you are low, it can cause sleeplessness. Next: you can try sound therapy. White noise or pink noise can drown out other noises around the house. It takes a little time to get used to it, however, once you do, it triggers the body to sleep when you hear it. Next, the body is like a giant battery. If the battery is fully charged, the need for rest is greatly reduced. If you get a lot of physical exercise during the day, it will not only keep you in shape, it will trigger the need for sleep and make it easier Next, watch what you eat. Caffeine will keep one awake and it's in lots of things: Soft drinks, chocolate, coffee, some pain medicines. Eating a high salt diet can wire one up as well. Maybe your nervousness is gone with getting your sleep. If not, maybe a doctor can find a medical problem. If it's not medical, analyze yourself. Why are you worried? Be true to yourself. Is there any reason you worry? You are very Special. No one in the universe is exactly like you nor will there ever be. Since that is the case, stop worrying what everyone else thinks. Be who you are. If others are upset, isn't that really their problem? Be at peace with yourself. God has placed you here to share that which is Special about yourself with others. Now, how could you do that if you were exactly like them? Stop living your life walking on eggshells. To make an omelet you are going to break a few eggs. Do it and don't worry. It's ok to ask God for help, however adversity often points the direction to our learning. Take the journey. Work on the solutions. You will acquire wisdom on the path to Discovering the answers that lead to resolution. You are more capable than you realize.

The anxiety and insomnia are two enemies of confidence...try to overcome these by staying calm and good enough sleep.

Yes, of course I still pray but not long. Try to do something that makes you relaxed and sleepy before going to bed.

why do you get nervous by the way. God Jehovah answers prayers in His own time. John 16:23., Psalm 65:2

Prayer must be constant. Cling to God for any thing the gives you anxiety. Sometimes, a glass of warm milk or hot soup can get the body set for sleeping through the night. If your case is a little troublesome, seek a doctor. You would be amazed of the remedies they can give you. Healing, according to medical practitioners, begins with the patient truly wanting to be healed. I will pray for you.

@averygirl72 Giving up is always the easy way out. It's a defeatist's recourse. The more exciting and real challenging way is to fight it out, with all your will, courage, and strength. That defines the person, by his or her attitude on the trials bestowed her. You will overcome, I am sure. The fact that you have expressed the anxiety here is the beginning of your will to win. And God loves those who call on Him consistently. I like your word.
