Joe Cocker was an English singer. He was born on May 20, 1944 and passed away on December 22, 2014.
His genres were rock, blues, soul and pop. Cocker's recording of the Beatles' hit "With a Little Help From My Friends" (see below) reached #1 in the UK in 1968. This is also the song that he sang at Woodstock in 1969, which was a classic performance. He received a Grammy Award for the #1 hit in the U.S., "Up Where We Belong", a duet with Jennifer Warnes. Another big hit was "You Are So Beautiful".
Cocker is ranked #97 on Rolling Stone's 100 Greatest Singers list; and he has received several awards in the UK. He was active from 1961 until his death in 2014.

He had some great songs and a good voice like no other.
At my wedding we had a second dance the first was a song she choose to play and then I said I had a song for her that was a little more my style, I had them play You are so Beautiful. A simple song but oh so good.
