Ugh, our house was hit with the viral infection. That the fancy way of saying the common cold. So it started with me, then our daughter, now my husband. He woke up at 1pm today and he had bags under his eyes. Looked like a truck ran him over in his sleep. So after we visited our kids school. He got into the car while me and the 4.5 year old walked back to the house. He drive to the doctor got a note from working stating he can’t return till Monday. Since he works medical any time he is sick he has to call out. It’s thay time of the cold season. At least it’s just a cold and it should pass in a few days.

Yeah and you just have to wait it out which stinks. Antibiotics don't work on a cold.

That’s because it’s not a bacterial infection which is what antibiotics would be used for. Viruses your body makes there own antibodies in your blood stream that is why some colds are not as bad as others.

@NJChicaa virus we make own anti bodies our blood. When a virus hits are blood stream our antibodies attack them. I’d we do not have the right antibody the ones we currently have can not block the virus and stop it in its course. With out this in our system or immune system will never maturate which is why children typically get colds more often. Infection are normally cause by bacteria in our system and not the good kind. Doctors will give medicine for those like amoxicillin, or penicillin or one with in both of the families depending on if your allergic or not to either.
