Catching up with my breath....

The lift of the building is under maintenance. It's easier to get down the steps but climbing back is a touch one. I stay in penthouse and that is on top most floor. After dropping my daughter to school, I found that these people were still working there in lift. I thought that they would be done by then... Phew I climbed up four floors and now I am panting... I have made myself a hot cup of coffee. So while I sip my coffee and catch up my breath I will be here reading and responding on new discussions. Notifications have to wait as I have really not read much of new discussions off late. I am planning to make laddoos of dates and other nuts in another hour before going for work. It's a healthy dessert and has a long shelf life. It is healthy and good for diabetics as I do not use any sugar or artificial sweetener. So I will be here for some time mylotting. I hope they fix the lift by the time I come back from work. Going down the steps is fun but not climbing up.

Its really a pain when the lift does not work and you live at a higher floor. Because of lifts, people have lost the habit of climbing stairs and if it fails, it really stresses us out.

I was okay climbing up steps since last year. But after few health issues, I am not comfortable. But I still take steps to go down and climb up to first floor. I have steps in my house and I climb that few times. That is good enough. My daughters don't use lift.

@avi256 I am scared to let my daughters go alone in lift. Once I was stuck in there for some 5_7minutes, I panicked. It was claustrophobic.

I could do that a few years back but now I find it tough with age and health issues.

If you are not used to climbing steps, it can make you breathless, that's for sure. I hope the lift is fixed soon.

I have steps inside my house as I stay in a duplex. I climb them few times in day and that is good enough. Thankfully it was fixed once I was back from work.

It was too much. I have steps inside my home as I stay in duplex. I climb it few times a day and that is good enough exercise for me.
