Winter months reduce the need for power drastically here as all the AC s take rest. But just now, I had a power cut while I was working in my computer. I didn't connect the UPS to the pc as it is malfunctioning for a few days and the power cut snapped out the pc hard . I can't see any major need for power in nearby locality for any events. And now the power is back again only after five minutes. I need to see if my old pc is working fine or not.

Ups are essential so you should find a replacement

We are used to power outages here by lightening storms we are famous for--we have a lot of batteries on hand!!

I hope everything was okay and working fine. Power cuts always come at the most inconvenient times.

Power cuts are a worry. They always seem to happen at the worst moment.
