What's for lunch? An experiment that didn't quite work.

The other day I went simple and had some canned chili from Trader Joe's. My only "tweak" was to put a chunk of Brie on top. It was good, but I think I'd have been better served to just put the Brie on sound sourdough bread and have it on the side. What's for lunch in your neck of the woods? For me it's left-over burrito. I'll add Brie to that as well. I've done that combo in the past and it works well.

We will be having Shanghai style spring rolls , hot rice and chilli garlic sauce, left over KFC fried chicken left over from the bucket I bought last night minus the gravy cause my kids finished it. We are still thinking of the soup , most probably cream of mushroom or asparagus.

@TheHorse when you say canned chili are you referring to chili con carne? That's one of my favorite food, with or without cheese toppings.

What a weird idea to melt Brie on top of chili. I had spaghetti for lunch, with oil garlic and hot pepper.

@TheHorse NO because this recipe is what my husband likes since he was a kid and this is what he asked most of the time at midnight when we were very young and worked like crazy in the evening. Parmesan on that dish is a sacrilege.

Did you cite me when you served your husband? Of course, I invented this, though I add Parmesan cheese.

I need to get back into yogurt. It used to be a staple, but I haven't been buying it recently. No particular reason.

All I had on this cold Florida day was some canned soup. I have Hormel chili at home so perhaps tomorrow and I have a chunk of blue cheese to put on top

It wasn't that spicy. I eat a lot of Thai and Indian food. Both tend to be a bit spicy. American food tends to be a bit "bland" by comparison.
