October 31, 1963 - It's Halloween night in Haddonfield, Illinois. 17-year-old Judith Myers and her boyfriend are kissing inside a 2-story white Victorian house. Someone (a Shape) is watching from outside. The boyfriend asks if they are alone; and Judith says that Michael is around somewhere. The boyfriend puts on a clown mask and kisses her again. She tells him to take it off. They go upstairs. The Shape comes in the kitchen door and takes a knife out of a drawer. Later, Judith's boyfriend leaves and the Shape sees the clown mask, puts it on and heads upstairs into the dark hallway. It enters Judith's bedroom. Just then she turns around and sees Michael. He begins to stab her with the knife over and over again. As he's leaving the house a car pulls up. It's Judith's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Myers. They pull the clown mask off the 6-year-old boy; and see that he has an expressionless look on his face and a knife in his hand.
October 30, 1978 - It's Halloween Eve in Smith's Grove, Illinois. Dr. Sam Loomis and his assistant, Marion Chambers are driving to the local sanitarium to have Michael Myers, now 21 and still very dangerous, taken to a hearing to determine what his future incarceration will be. As they pull up to the gate, several mental patients are lurking around the entrance. Dr. Loomis gets out of the car. Michael Myers leaps on top of the car. Marion rolls down her window to see what's going on; and Michael grabs her hair. They struggle until Marion pulls away and moves to the other side of the car. Michael breaks the window; and Marion jumps out of the car. Michael gets in and drives away. Loomis tells her that the evil is gone.
If you want to know what happens next, you need to watch the movie. If you don't want to have a good scare, then don't see this movie. It's so well done from the screenplay to the actors to the music and direction...It's all first-rate. I don't hesitate in recommending this film.
This movie is rated R.
