Life Tragically Ends Over a Cigarette

Unfortunately, my hometown New York City has many neighborhoods that are ruled over by different gangs, It ended tragically for a young 26-year-old man Jose Zambrano of Brooklyn who died of severe head injury. He was not a gang member he was an intelligent young man who had become a video game developer. He had come out of a bar in the wee hours of Sunday morning when he was approached by strangers asking for a cigarette. They were gang members looking for a fight. When Zambrano told them no, that he would not give them a cigarette the trouble began. He was ambushed and one of his attackers struck him in the back of his neck hurling him into a gate that resulted in the fatal head injury. Zambrano lingered for four days before dying. The police found the attacker, a member of the Latin Kings, who had a history of violent crimes even an attack on a police officer. Did they sentence him to jail right away? No, they actually released him on a $10,000 bond. It is a world a really don’t understand anymore.
