Spiritual truths: Your life depends on the pureness of your heart

Do not bury your heart in the sands of your mind

Our very life itself, and how we live it, depends on the pureness of our heart. If we place stuff in our heart, aside from the love which is in there, we create thereby an impurity within it. It is often said, "if we change our heart, we change our world." The thing is though, this applies only if we have already diluted our hearts previously, by our adding something else to it, other than love. There is no need ever to change a pure heart to anything else, other than what it already is. Some claim that the heart is merely an energy chakra point. The heart is, in truth, far more than its just being that. The heart is, though, often claimed to be a bridge between Heaven and yourself, which is true. Those that believe in chakras, claim that there are seven main energy points in our body. The lower three chakras The chakras have various names, but suffice it to say, there is one concerned with our security/survival issues, known as the root chakra. Then, there is the sacral chakra, which centers around our sensuality, desires, and baser emotions. The third chakra is the solar plexus chakra, which is linked into our ability to exhibit such things as self-control, self-discipline, by our having sufficient energy of self-esteem, and self-confidence, and positivity. The middle, or central chakra The middle or central chakra, the heart chakra connects the bottom three chakras to the top three chakras. The heart chakra has the energy of love, peace, and truth, or feelings of sublimity within it. The upper three chakras The throat chakra, which is how you voice and express yourself, how you share your truths, known in your heart, to the World, to inspire others with it. The third eye chakra is about seeing things behind the veil, by using intuition, and listening to our inner self, higher self, and soul. Finally, there is the crown chakra, which connects our minds to higher levels of being, or consciousness, allowing us to understand the truth, via our minds, and intellect/brains, in the wisest of ways. These three upper chakras define our personality, will, and way of thinking and operating, in the World. If we do not operate from the top three first, we will likely be controlled then by the bottom three instead. We will be over-focussed then on things like lust, instead of love, obsession, rather than retrospection, and circumspection. We will be fearful, rather than peaceful, defensive, rather than understanding. Here are two pertinent quotes from the Christian Bible, which both infer that the heart really is the heart of it all, far more than just one of seven energy points , in our bodies. Proverbs, chapter 4, verse 23: "Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it." Matthew, chapter 5, verse 8: "Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God." I will end this short article, with a few questions: What then, is a pure heart? Can we place other stuff in our hearts, and destroy its pureness? Is our heart just an energy chakra point, as some claim it is? What is this heart, in spiritual terms? God has a heart also, and it is his heart of love. What is love, but the heart of God. All of this means that the heart is the central focus of love in you, and therefore also of God. Do not cover, either the heart, or the love over, with anything else, including your ideas of truth, of yourself, or of God. Allow the heart its pureness, to allow it to always remain as God created it to be. In other words, do nothing that will stain your heart with any impurity, or cover over its pureness, with veils of sin, ego, self-centeredness, or with any other such selfishly driven motives This, your heart, is your focal energy point of God's love in you, alive in you, for you to live from, as the God point of yourself, making you a mini God, so to speak, in God. God in the beginning has created man perfectly but because of his transgression he became impure. Does he have to work it out to perfect himself again.

Yes, it's man that stepped away from God, not God that stepped away from man. Man has to realise his mistake and step back towards God. With God, we can all take bigger steps.

There is the physical heart and then there is the symbolic heart and we need to take care of both, the physical for the present life and the symbolic or spiritual for eternity.

I would say that the heart is more than just symbolic. The heart is the central point of our soul, even as love is the central point of God. When we live from our heart, we live from the same love as does God, for his love lives in our heart when we allow it to be us there for ourselves. Our heart is the home of ourselves, and this is why we should stand our house on God, (the rock), and not on sand (our own way of sin).

Yes, our heart should be kept in pristine condition and we should not allow it to be corrupted by viruses that are always on the prowl. Our intentions should be honorable and fair - siva

Yes, if we allow our hearts to be soiled, or infected by such viruses, we have moved away from the all-encompassing love of God then, and so then, we cannot live from that love fully, and effectively, anymore either.

We are created in the image and likeness of God. But we are not perfect like God but must try our best to do good.

Yes, we must try our best to do good. But, are we actually perfect, created perfectly by God, but then step away from that, when we sin? All that God does is perfect, as he is perfect, but then his creation, having free, will can step away from his perfect creation, of both creation, and themselves, even as it was planned by God in a way for this to happen, as then they can take the journey through his creation, with continually reopening eyes, and so finally then grasp God's perfection again in their own hearts, for that is where it is, but with their minds on board now then too.
