Ibotta paid me $1.00 to get free milk

You all may remember my gripe about the fairlife brand of milk and how I had complained. I received two coupons for a free milk and used one of those coupons yesterday. Ibotta, a cash back program for groceries amongst other things, had an offer with my local grocery store. I could gt $1.00 back for the milk. My grocery store had it for 2/$7 but I had a coupon for it and so got the milk absolutely free. Ibota paid me $1.00 for completing the offer, and so I was given $1.00 for getting free milk.
This last grocery trip also qualified me for a cash out with ibotta which was instantaneous. The $21.09 I received will come in handy. I haven't decided whether to use it towards a bill or to save it towards a treat for me, but at the moment it just sits in paypal.
Do you use cashback apps / websites?

Coupons that give us free things are great.
I use cash back sites and apps too.

I only seem to get free coupons when I have to complain about something. Well, I was able to get cash back on an item that made it free once before... Also, my grocery store gave me butter for free once, so that was nice.

@nela13 A discount is better than nothing. It's nice to save money on things we buy often.

@yugocean I have learned from experience I have wasted my money on items that I never used. I try not to do that anymore.

The sites I use offer quality and value. Ibotta allows me to get brand name items for a cheaper price. I don't use an offer unless I am going to use the item, and I match it with sales as well.

That is great that you got the milk for free. Good idea to keep it in Pay Pal till when you need it for something.

I'll probably just keep it in Paypal until Friday when I am paid by another one of my sites, actually...

@Hannihar Sometimes I accrue the money in my paypal, but it just depends. Last month I waited until I was paid by mylot before I withdrew my money to my bank.

Yes, they either expire at a certain time or you must purchase a certain amount.

@amitkokiladitya I have done that in the past. I try not to do that now, especially if the items will go to waste. If I think I can re-sell it, I am more likely to buy it.

Yes, I was excited to get that $21.09. I was afraid I would end up with $19.99 and would have to wait until next week.

My daughter uses ibotta and we've gotten some good cash back and free stuff too. It's worth the little bit of time it takes to use it.
