This ain't your mama's china!

Imagine opening your mother's or grandmother's hutch where all her pretty china is only to find a piece of porcelain with robots printed on it instead. It looks like that blue and white plate that is found in China cabinets across the world, but it's not.
There's a company by the name of Calamityware that makes such porcelain plates, designed to look like that precious piece of china of years gone by, but upon closer inspection it's actually a scene of robot rebellion!
They also make other stuff, but who needs that other stuff when you can set your dinner table with robot themed plates?
Anyway, I came across this via a targeted ad on facebook
No, I'm not sponsored or anything...
Have you seen anything like this before?

I'm not into robots, either really. Not even R2D2, though if I had to pick one it would be him.

That's hilarious, simulating the original 'Blue Willow' dishes and china. What will they think of next?

They also sell other things, but the parody of the blue willow china is my favorite.

@kobesbuddy It makes me want to buy a plate, but I don't have a place to display it so I'll hold off on it.

This is hysterical! My mother in law used to collect the blue/white porcelain (I forgot the name of that particular style). First look of this really does remind me of it - oh but upclose seeing the robots is just too funny. I think it's going to make me look a little closer at the blue designs when I go through thrift shops now!

I was trying to figure out where the company was located. I think it's located in the UK but I couldn't find any info on it, or if it's there I overlooked it.
As for that china, yes I have one plate that was my moms. It's currently laying flat as I don't have a stand for it.

That really is funny and would definitely pass for that familiar brand we all know. I can imagine serving dinner on those plates and having my grandsons be fooled when they finish and see robots

I think it would definitely make a good conversational piece! I have one piece of china like that, it belonged to my mom. I don't know where she got it to be honest, but I think she must have bought it at a craft show or antique store or something as it's not a family heirloom.

That would be a fun pattern to put on a piece of china, actually. A Tardis in the middle.
