Ancient Egypt - In the first scene young Princess Ema "Emmy" Hesire is hiding from her mother in a pyramid. Ema wants to find true love; but her mother has made an arranged marriage for her. Emmy vanishes right in front of her mother.
1987 - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania - Artist Jonathan Switcher is working in a mannequin factory trying to assemble the perfect mannequin. His work is too slow and too precise; and he is fired. They were looking for quantity, not quality. Unbeknownst to Jonathan, Ema has now possessed the mannequin he has created. Jonathan continues to try other jobs; but he keeps getting fired. One evening his motorcycle breaks down in the rain; and he sees his mannequin in the Prince and Company store window.
The next morning Jonathan is out in front of the store; and a giant sign swings down and threatens to hit Mrs. Timkin, the store owner. Jonathan intercepts the sign and saves the day. In return, Mrs. Timkin offers Jonathan a position in the store.
If you want to know what happens next, you will have to watch the movie...but take it from me, you could pass up this stinker and not really miss anything. The plot is predictable; and Hollywood Montrose is a caricature of himself. I'm not the best judge of acting ability; but I felt a definite lack of it in this movie from actors that normally turn in a good performance. I'm thinking that the material they had to work with was the main reason for that. Watch this movie when there's nothing else on; but I can't, in good faith, recommend it.
This movie is rated PG.

I saw the film. This was when Kim Cattrall was hot.
