Only 4 more to go--16 years flies by!

16th Leap Year Birthday February 29, 2000 It is not often you are ‘sweet 16’ so I celebrated it properly! How about lunch at The Cheesecake Factory at the Sawgrass Mall (I only had 2 slices of cheesecake) and then in the evening partaking of The Captain’s Table at The Ark Restaurant (now closed!) Nancy, Doug, Betsy and Bob had come from Michigan while Byron and Paul flew in from Oklahoma for the week. For some reason--no, not because of the money--the gift balloon that Elaine, Dorothy, Ethel and Jaimee gave me still intrigues (how did they get the money in there?) me and I always smile when I see the picture and I see it every day as it is part of the collage hanging on my wall! Another present I got was from Chuck who sent me a complete BBQ dinner from Corky’s in Memphis and I haven’t tasted good barbeque since!

I think it would be cool to have leap year as your birthday. Looks like another fun celebration.

Here's your song for that year:
American Bandstand. December 12, 1964. If you take notice, at 1:12-1:14, that's Freddie Cannon in the audience who is laughing and gives Neil a wave.

My, you were a mature 16. They allowed you in Cheesecake Factory? No Chuck-E-Cheese for a youngster like you?

Believe it or not I get 'courted' to have my birthday party in restaurants as they know some newspaper or TV show will do a story on it!!

What a memorable birthday party especially the one and only BBQ dinner at Corky in which its bbq has incomparable taste.

Memphis bbq is hard to beat, as well as the cheesecake.
