Another Trip to Cuba

Cuba is in desperate need of tourism to help their economy. Trump has practically killed this country.
We went there last year and again this year to the same resort. There are noticeable difference in changes... buffet at a couple of resorts closed to dinner with everyone dining at the one big one, no grilling burgers outside, no phones in the rooms, no coffee pots, no beach towels in the room, and fewer staff.
The weather has changed a bit... like it has everywhere. There were a couple of days that so many clouds kept hiding the sun and when they did that it was a little on the chilly side, and it was a little cool at night.
Regardless, we still enjoyed ourselves, got some great tans and enjoyed the staff. Last year the resort guests were mostly Canadian, this year we were surrounded by Russians. And they smoke - a lot.
We went on one excursion - Jeep Safari - where we drove through the very bumpy farm roads and learned more about their culture. I milked a cow for the first time, squeezed the juice out of a sugar cane, tried small sweet bananas, drank sugar cane, went horseback riding and swam in a natural river.
The Cubans are hard workers and live very simple lives. There are very few cars because they have no access to petrol. This is because of the embargos Trump is trying to instill. Americans can't travel to Cuba unless they travel to another country first. We need to help Cuba. We need to boost their tourism.
It's a cheap trip. In talking to people we found you can get great last minute deals - all inclusive (for us $1450 for the week including food, alcohol, airfare and transportation from airport to resort). Others got even cheaper rates. Also in talking to people we found that the other resorts were not better than where we were. And it's all the same beach.
If you have the money and opportunity, I encourage you to go to Cuba. Help them out. They are a poor people who need us to boost their economy. You really have nothing to lose.
Some videos will appear on my YouTube channel eventually.

@BarBaraPrz I read a lot but don't post much.
I like to get back to people but a 70+ hour working week makes it hard so I'm not posting much...next year I'll be back

We paid $1,450 all inclusive for the two of us. Other people we met spent less than that. Just depends on when you book the vacation I guess, The one couple literally booked it the day before. Another couple was staying for two weeks and paid $1,600 for the two of them. @amitkokiladitya

@patgalca I'm sorry I thought you were planning to come back, anyway it was a good recommendation and would take aways doubts and fears of going there, her image had suffered a lot from Western and U.S. black propaganda since the cold war era especially during the missile crisis.
