Cancelled and delayed flights.

Have you experienced such? Delayed flights, I think is common but cancelled flights are rare. I just experienced a cancelled flight a week ago. The flight was cancelled due to typhoon Kamuri. I asked the airline personnel if they provide food and accommodation to the affected passengers but sadly, they don't provide such if the cause of the delay was a natural calamity. But they do provide accommodation and free round trip ticket valid for 6 months if the reason of the cancelled flight was due to technical problems on their part. In the end, we extended our stay in Manila City, Philippines for another 2 days. It's both sad and happy. Sad coz we're running out of budget and happy at the same time coz we get to spend more time with each other (my husband and I)

No, I haven't experienced delayed flights because I only travel by land.

Soon, you'll get to experience that when you board on a plane one day.

It is a shame that the airline could not assist you during your time of distress due to a typhoon. I have never experienced a flight delay.

@renicemae But then again I am not a frequent flyer since my relatives left Panama in 1978 to move to the US.

I haven't experienced cancelled flights, but I have experienced delayed flights several times. When I was going to Estonia my flight was delayed because of the weather. I waited many hours and I arrived in Estonia around 3 a.m.

My longest delayed flight was 3 hours! Such a waste of time.

Ouch. That's a sad trip when the flight is cancelled due a calamity because the airline has no responsibility. Did you buy another ticket or your flight was just rebooked?

Yeah. We had some little arguments though but it's just normal for couples.

Delayed flight yes, but not canceled flight. My first delayed flight was more than an hour that was because we have waited Mrs. Imelda Marcos and her kids to arrive in our PAL plane going to Germany. That was ages ago when she was still the First Lady of the Philippines.

@thelme55 She's still beautiful even today. Do you believe that they got the Yamashita treasure?
