Today’s morning, I went to the mall just to buy a can of insects spray. It’s only a single purchase so I just walk through the sidewalks when returning home since the mall is not that far from us. On my way, I spotted an ambulant vendor selling a variety of fruits. There’s Guyabano (soursop) so I bought it without hesitation. The whole fruit weighs 1.4 kg which I paid a dollar. As you can see in the photo it’s the remaining half and I think I have eaten the quarter of the whole fruit.

We use to have 2 trees of "guyabano" when I was in highschool, it bore so much fruits that we just gave some of them away, now it's very seldom I see any here inside the subdivision, perhaps they have it in bigger markets.

@ZedSmart yes fresh and ripe from the tree is the best. Our fruits use to be big when at her prime, my mother would make juice by squeezing the fruit meat in cheese cloth , really delicious.

When the soursop is sweet it is a very nice fruit for breakfast. I usually have that but only when it is sweet.

@ZedSmart it's nice to know that there are still such vendors who sell their farm's produce. I had experienced that in Bulacan when I was in grade school. Freshly picked duhat and siniguelas in a basket being brought down from the mountain.

That's a good buy. My teeth would hurt if I finish even half of a quarter. I hope it's sweet.

My favorite fruit. Our fruit peddler does not bring us guyabano, so I buy at the grocery. More expensive.
Gosh, I can eat a whole guyabano that size in one sitting. Ha ha. It's anti-cancer. If only patients know the benefit of the guyabano.

@ZedSmart Eat as much while in season. Prevents the toxicity that causes cancer from entering your system. It's rich in Vitamin C, too.
