Today was a first in a long time that we have eaten at a Japanese steakhouse. We haven gone in like 3 years the last time our older two kids went was just before I was pregnant with there little brother. So 4-5 years for them. We where out and downtown from where we live. My husband looked up the restaurant Sakura which is a popular Japanese steakhouse chain and found out that the one we where close to has gluten free options. We where the only people in there and told the manger and cook our son was gluten free. Both of them accommodated to his food needs. They asked if we wanted his food cooked in front of us or in the back. We where happy to have both options. We let them know in front of us so we could see that indeed his food was safe from cross contamination. The kids loved it! All the fire and watching the cook with all his tricks. The cook was very nice and pay lots of attention to the kids and kept them engaged with his cooking.
