A Dear Little Deer

I was happily sitting minding my own business watching the TV when Adam shouted from upstairs in his study that there were some deer out in the meadow. As we often have Muntjac deer out there I wasn't in a rush to get upstairs to see them but Adam said that he thought they were roe deer which we don't very often see.
I quickly grabbed my camera and shot off down to the bottom of the garden but, of course, they'd all disappeared into the woodland but I did just cat the rear end of the last one to leave the meadow. It shows his beautiful spotted coat.

Yes they often wander through. They know they're safe there as nobody can shoot or hunt so close to the houses. We have a lot of different birds, lizards and newts, frogs and toads. It's just a lovely place to live.
