What is your reaction to misunderstandings here?

I often had misunderstandings here. I wrote something and some people totally misunderstood the meaning of my words. I really couldn't understand why my words were misunderstood. In the past misunderstandings made me give up on this site for a while. I was very affected. But now I have a different attitude. I know that many people don't read discussions and most people only want money. Even if we earn cents, they add up. What is your reaction to misunderstandings here? Do they upset you?

It hurts when you are misunderstood. I woukd like to correct and clarify to some extent but then give up or ignore. But I would not give up on this site because few people misunderstand or are rude.

@dya80dya We have so many good people here and they are good enough to interact. We can always ignore the rude ones.

I'm free from me so I'm free from others...I don't get offended anymore, it's not about me. And being here is definitely not about money, I enjoy my time here. =)

I leave it alone, until I chose to either report or block that person. Report would be better if he or she starts cursing.

I sometimes read too fast but misunderstanding a post is not always.

@dya80dya there was a post by Rodick about not many Chinese and I misread it as many Chinese. Oh, what a big mistake.

I will usually re-word what I've said or politely explain that I meant something else. I realise that many myLotters don't speak English as their first language so will make allowances in such circumstances. There have been one or two occasions when people just didn't understand, no matter how many times I explained, and others who, apparently, chose to be contrary. Mostly, though, misunderstandings are just that and can be sorted out easily enough.

Text is very open to misinterpretation. We don't have the facial expressions and body language which we do when speaking face to face. Sometimes however there is no mistaking a rude comment and I do tend to retaliate. I've been on the naughty step a few times on other forums
Like you I have left sites before now because I was so angry but I think it's best to try and avoid the person who has upset you and move on. Now I think why should I let someone chase me off somewhere I enjoy being. So far I haven't had a misunderstanding here yet but I'm not here on a regular basis. Give it time!

Sometimes it is kind of upsetting if someone commented differently over my discussion. But I just let it pass. I don't take ugly comments seriously or I will be the one to suffer in the end.

It could be upsetting. Cultural differences could also add to misunderstanding and how words are used but at the end of the day it's all virtual interaction and your connection begins and ends at this site.
