I asked for books, and I got ‘em

Anyone familiar with the book genre of “cozy mysteries”? I wasn’t until just a few days ago. I whined to my friend that I am almost out of books (I had about 3 not so easy reads left over on my book shelf to read), so she solved my problem and gave me a paper bag full of paperbacks. “Cozy Mysteries” are the genre. To my understanding, basically light-hearted mystery books that are not gritty or gruesome, but funny and cute (?).
I have already read one that was pretty cute - an easy read - and maybe a reading “palette cleanser” (know what I mean?). Now I have about 25 more to read. Which is fine by me! This is not a genre I would delve into on my own accord, so it’s kind of a nice change of pace from what I normally read.
Do you ever read “cozy mysteries”? Any authors or ones you would suggest?

I don’t think I have read any cozy mysteries but I read so much that I can’t keep up with all the genres I read

I've never heard of this genre and don't recall if I ever read anything like that either.

I have read a few but not really to my liking. Too little mystery part.
