To wind up the year, one that has been quite adventurous for me in travels, I’m looking at the eleven states I have yet to make it to. Hopefully the new year will bring more adventures and perhaps a trip to some of these states. Meanwhile, here’s the next one anxiously awaiting my arrival. Haven’t Visited: Colorado What’s on tap for me in Colorado? Why, visiting @teamfreak16 who lives in Colorado! What else? There are four national parks in Colorado, highlighted by the Rocky Mountains. In addition to that, there are mountains. And mountains. Oh, did I mention mountains?? Now, superficially that might sound “boring,” but take it from someone who spends a lot of time in mountains (in eastern Kentucky, West Virginia, western Virginia, and my favorite park, the Great Smoky Mountains), it isn’t. There is an amazing beauty in those soaring peaks. Much like Alaska, this is a state I plan to visit in warmer weather. I love watching the webcams in Aspen and Denver, showing the snowfall. (As I’ve frequently said, that’s how I like my snow: somewhere else! ) So no skiing for me. But a Rockies baseball game sounds fun!
