National Cookie Exchange Day
1851 - India's first freight train is operated in Roorkee, India.
1937 - The Lincoln Tunnel opens in New York City.
1949 - Maurice and Robin Gibb were born. Maurice died in 2003; and Robin died in 2012. They were British singers and members of the Bee Gees. The Bee Gees were one of the most successful rock-pop groups ever. They wrote all of their own hits and achieved enormous success with the release of the movie Saturday Night Fever and its accompanying soundtrack. The Bee Gees sold more than 120 million records worldwide, making them one of the world's best-selling artists of all time. One of their hits was "How Deep Is Your Love" (see below):
