Floyd Smith. 92, is thankful for the local news media in Fresno coming to his assistance when he reported to the reporter that he loaned his retirement money which was around $10,000 to a person named Mark Gleizer who assisted him in getting new windows for his home.
Mark then used the story that he needed some financial assistance since he was having money trouble.
Smith believed that Gleizer was going to pay him back the $10,000 dollars that he loaned him.
What happened after Smith loaned the $10,000 dollars to Gleizer was that Gleizer in good faith would repay Smith which never happened.
Even though Smith sued Glazer in small claims court and the judge ruled in Smith's favor that Gleizer would have to pay Smith $7,630 dollars, Smith was never repaid the money that he loaned Gleizer.
When the local Fresno television station reported what happened to Smith about the loan that he made to Gleizer that was not repaid two years ago, a group of strangers donated money to GoFundMe so Smith could recover the money he lost in the loan deal which came up to $12,472.60 which was presented to Smith by a reporter from television station KFSN.
To put it mildly, Smith was very happy that there are people in this world that cared enough to donate money for his retirement fund.

Sad to say senior citizens are ripped off by scam artist who take advantage of their kindness in attempting to assist someone who claims to be down on their luck moneywise.
