1932 - Radio City Music Hall opens in New York City.
1948 - Gerard Depardieu was born. He is a French actor and has appeared in more than 170 movies, making him one of the most prolific character actors in film history. Some of his movies: Green Card, Cyrano de Bergerac, 1492: Conquest of Paradise, Hamlet and Life of Pi.
2016 - Carrie Fisher passed away. She was born in 1956 and was an American actress, screenwriter, author, producer and speaker. She is most remembered for her role as Princess Leia in the Star Wars movies. She is the daughter of Eddie Fisher and Debbie Reynolds. Reynolds died the day after Carrie, stating that she wanted to be with Carrie. Some of Carrie's other movies: Blues Brothers, When Harry Met Sally and Soapdish.

Fruitcake day? Is this the day everyone throws away the fruitcake they got for Christmas?

@andriaperry I've never had any that are laced with whisky. Just fruit and nuts.
