Monday Morning, Can We Say Blue Monday?

I was excited to start the day today and ready to get back into a normal routine. The cold front moved through last night and it is a bit chilly this morning but warming up nicely outside.
My mom is refusing to get out of bed this morning. She says she can't walk. I offered to help her up and then she says, "It's cold. Can you just give me a few more minutes?" It's not going to be a fun day.
Did this cold front get your area too? I know all of those east of Texas got it. We didn't hit the freezing mark, but had a low of 40 last night. Going from 68 to 40 at night is a bit of a change.
I'm off to start the chores outside and figure out lunch. Catch you all later. Have a great day!

We started feeling the crisp air around sunset when the clouds finally gave way to clear skies. I just stepped outside to turn off the outside Christmas lights, and it was a wee bit chilly. It's going to be beautiful weather tomorrow night for New Year's Eve.

@moffittjc It's crazy. You have to leave the house with long sleeves and/or jacket or bring a jacket with you because you will be freezing before you get home. I want Spring/Summer!! Bring on the heat!

@kareng It was beautiful for us on New Years Eve and Day, but it is supposed to get hot and muggy again tomorrow, before more rain moves in on Friday and Saturday. And then it's going to get cold for one day on Sunday. I wish it would just stay cold for several days. I hate the fact that on one day I'm in jeans and a jacket for work, and the next day I'm in shorts and a t-shirt. It's hard to plan your outfits when the whether keeps changing like that!

'twas 20 this morn, thankfully the winds 'd be calm. we've 'd 3 cold fronts back to back here. sure aint been fun. i confess to stayin' snuggled'n quilts a bit longer this morn 'fore tossin' clothes'n, headin' out to feed the critters. nah, such didn't impress 'em much, lol.

@crazyhorseladycx I think you are getting yet another system. This one is coming up from south and moving northeast. Rained all day today and still light rain falling. It is supposed to stop sometimes tomorrow. Saturday nice and warm and SUNSINE!!

@kareng hmm, wonder if'n that aint a part 'f what 'tis comin' here? rain wednesday, snow thursday they'd be talkin'. i hear ya'n those tornadoes. this past friday we'd one 'bout 20 miles north. the fog 'twas so heavy nobody would'a been able to see such. thankfully hit o'er open country.

She was actually in a good mood today once she got up. I insisted that she put on clean clothes and made her try on new bras I had picked up for her. The first one I got was wrong size. We finally hit the jackpot! That was another thing the hospital did that annoyed me...they threw her bra away.
