auld lang syne is traditionally played or sung here when the year ends. the other song is Let There Be Peace On Earth. i have attached a link to the one sang by the International Children's Choir. wikipedia says auld lang syne dates back to 1711, while Let There Be Peace On Earth was written in 1955 by Jill Jackson-Miller and Sy Miller. are you familiar with these songs? are they also played during new year's eve where you live? if not, what songs do you sing or listen to on new year's eve or new year's day? thanks for the interaction, fellow mylotters! thanks to @mylotbugs and @goaskalice! we miss you goaskalex and barry (aka koalemos/asylum)! hope we all have a happy, healthy and prosperous year ahead!

It goes like this "Happy New Year Happy New Year May we all have a vision now and then Of a world where every neighbor is a friend Happy New Year Happy New Year May we all have our hopes, our will to try If we don't we might as well lay down and die You and I" Happy new year to each and everyone in myLot...

Sorry for being a spoiler. I like the song but what I cannot come to terms is the message of peace on earth. As long as man is human there will be no peace on earth. Again, sorry for this negative comment. I wish you a happy and prosperous new year. Let there be peace... in our hearts.

We are aware of the first and sing it every year. The second is beautiful, but new to me.
