I live in a big country. In the north the water plumbing is mainly used for most families. It is very comfortable. This is why I think it is very comfortable to live in the north in winter because it is like summer indoor. Whereas in the south we don't have such kind of heating system and it is cold inside and outside and this feeling is terrible. At my home, we will turn on the air-conditioner to make it warm. I think it uses a lot of electricity and the feeling can't compare to the north indoor yet. Although there are other equipments to create the heat, but actually they are similar. Fortunately this year it is not cold in winter yet

Same as @MALUSE, we have a central gas heating system for the whole house, it is the same that produces hot water for the house.

Then its costs must be lower than the electricity.

@youless It is not expensive and it does not pollute. We have a serpentine system under the tiles of the floor, that is the most efficient way to heat a house, because the heat goes up.

@MALUSE So true, electricity can be polluting. The electric heating is no more allowed here.

We are well off. we never require any sort of heating system instead even in the intense cold we have to put on a fan to get cooled.

No, there is no snow in my city. In general, the temperature won't below 5 centigrades in winter, but the feeling is cold because of the moist.

We do not need anything like that in our place since most of the year the climate is always warm and humid. We need more like a cooler to avoid those hot days of summer.
