When God Doesn't Make Sense (pt 2)- The Celebration

My daughter had made it through a couple of scares with her miracle pregnancy. But after each one, the doctor assured her things were fine and progressing beautifully. Once she was far enough along to feel movement, it was non-stop movement. This set her mind at ease.
Summer 2019 rolls around and it is time for the reveal party. The theme was pistols or pearls. I was on team boy. I had felt from the time Angel and Lane got married, their first couple of kids would be boys.
The family lined the front porch as we waiting for Lane to pop the balloon revealing if we had a boy or girl. Of course, it didn't matter to me. I would adore a boy or girl. I was that way with my own kids. A baby is a baby and is a gift. The gender never mattered, and my Angel and Lane felt the same.
Finally, our question was answered: IT'S A GIRL! The pregnancy became more real for my daughter. She was gonna have a little pearl. The shopping began: clothes, hair bows, nursery decor, etc.
The prayers also intensified. We were thankful and we prayed several times a day for a healthy pregnancy and delivery, for mommy and baby to be fine.
As we are celebrating and praying for this baby girl who was due December 2019, we are also praying for my daughter-in-law who was due August 2019. She and my son were expecting their 2nd little boy. The family was growing and we were thrilled.
