Our flying squirrels have a new baby! It's too early to know if it's a boy or girl, but it decided to come out of its mama's pouch to meet us. The baby sugar glider loves to stay warm in my tshirt or curl up in my hair. As much as I am completely in love with the baby she/he will have to be sold so it doesn't inbreed with its parents. Isn't it the cutest? What a beautiful surprise!

Poor thing. I didn't know the US had marsupials.

She/he seems quite content. The gliders are happy as long as they have companionship. Her parents will hang out in a shirt pocket and crawl all over us when they are awake during the day. We have an 10 foot tall enclosure in the house for them with fake tree branches, tubes, and running wheels they play in. We just need to find the baby a good home before she is ready to breed.

I love animals so to me it's an animal that should be in the wild @Nakachan of course I understand that none of your's could be let out in the wild as they wouldn't survive. How long is their life span?

@rebelann this is my first time owning gliders, but I've been told they can live up to 14 years.

Oh, you are so lucky! I always wanted a sugar glider!!! It is adorable, and I know that it’s best to sell it. I wish that I could buy it from you.
