This quilt was started back in the spring of 2019. The goal was to finish the handwork (pre-assembly) while we were travelling across the continent.
I did do a lot of the applique and embroidery before and during our travels, but was far fro finished when we arrived home in October,
Now the twelve blocks are finished and assembled and the borders are my next handwork project.
I thought it might be fun to share the blocks and let you watch some of my progress.

This project seems of ace developed a life of its own. First the blocks...then the embellishments. Now the desire to get it all put together into one beautiful quilted wall hanging.

I will try to post a block each day. Then the borders to show the progress.

@Morleyhunt Or at the very least, once a week.

@ScribbledAdNauseum the blocks are all finished so posting a block a day shouldn't be difficult and give me incentive to be here every day.

@Morleyhunt It looks so pretty, and you can see from the photo that there are lots of various textures. I hope that this quilt is entered into the fair that you take part in later on this year.

@Juliaacv I'm actually hoping to enter this one into a much bigger show.
Last year I earned a ribbon at the Quispamsis quilt show.
I think it was one of my proudest moments.

This quilt managed to incorporate all kinds of interesting bits. Lots of buttons and beads.

This is a bit outside my normal quilting projects. It has been both a pleasure and a challenge and I look forward to sharing each block with you.

What a lovely quilt even if it is a work-in-progress. Do you have a recipient in mind?

This one I'm keeping. (For now, at least!). It will hang in my hallway. The place of honour!

@Morleyhunt It's just gorgeous. I notice you've kept the rabbit away from the vegetables!

@JudyEv These sneaky rabbits keep appearing in the blocks. We have a few rabbits here as well. They are quite unafraid of us.

Thank you! Each of the twelve blocks are different. Some I prefer to others....but together they will form an amazing wall hanging.

My plan is a daily post. We'll see if I can do this.

There are twelve blocks. Three for each season. I started out following the pattern quite faithfully. Then as I became more confident I changed things to represent my own person feelings. For example...why would I put a watermelon on a block when I can't stand the taste?
