My internet is terrible today

This is the scourge of those who have satellite internet. The dish and the connection is affected to a certain extent by weather..heavy rains, snows or excessive wind will affect the connection making the signal drop all the time. It is very difficult to get things done on the computer when it is like this. It wants to disconnect all the time. I am going to change my internet service soon I hope. I should be coming into funds later in a week or so. and that is on the to do list. Not sure how long I will have to wait for the provider to come out..it might not be right away..but hopefully soon. Does weather affect your internet?

@snowy22315 I am sorry about your internet. I do not have satellite internet. I have the modem. I hate when it is very slow and it takes forever to get into anything. I would say that weather does affect my internet.

Well, I have a modem too, but it functions through the satellite. My whole set up here is less than thrilling.

How frustrating that must be. We have Comcast Xfinity in Florida and Alice Cablevision in Connecticut. We are so pleased with both. We had AT&T once, and got tic of them ASAP!

Yes, it is no fun to have a bad connection..At least now it us supposedly unlimited..but I don't care. They charge too much for their lousy service.

@snowy22315 I understand. A new provider should help immensely.

Weather affects the TV as our signal comes via satellite. But mostly it doesn't seem to bother the internet.

Rain seems to effect the TV more than the internet but wind can feel havoc on the internet signal.

Harsh weather conditions don’t affect my connection cause I’m on fiber. I hope your next provider is so much better. I consider Internet as a basic need nowadays.

Our cable is using a dish. When the weather is bad, we cannot watch tv properly. The rain affects the transmission of signal.
