1935 - Elvis Presley was born. He was an American singer and actor. The "King of Rock and Roll" was a teenager's icon. He had no formal music training, couldn't read music and studied and played by ear. Some of his songs: Hound Dog, Blue Suede Shoes, Heartbreak Hotel, Don't Be Cruel, In the Ghetto, Return to Sender and Love Me Tender. Some of his movies: Love Me Tender, Jailhouse Rock, G. I. Blues and Blue Hawaii. He died in 1977.
