Who taught you to tie your shoelaces?

Or how to tell the time or how to use a knife and fork? Was it your parents - or your grandparents? Many grandparents spend a lot of time with their grandchildren showing them how to do many essential life skills. But there is also the fun side - how to go fishing, how to fly a kite, how to ride a bike, how to bake a cake or how to do embroidery. Grandparents have the time and the patience to teach their grandkids many other essential skills - and they do it in a way which doesn’t make it seem like learning - ‘cos it’s fun when gran and grandad do it! How about you? Who helped you grow up?

My mother taught me most of the stuff you learn when you are little. My father taught me about the critters.

Just my parents really although one grandfather was a lot of fun. I didn't know the other one and the grandmothers were both pretty stern and strict so not a lot of fun coming from those areas.

It was my parents. I didn't spend very much time with my grandparents.
