I have to give credit to Vancouver Washington school teacher Laurie Burpee, 60, who has been teaching for 38 years before she had to take a leave of absence to take radiation treatments to battle breast cancer that has spread to her lungs last May. Laurie could have a pity party and cry why she is being punished for getting an illness that has sidelined her from doing what she enjoys doing which is teaching second grade students. Laurie has this unique way to celebrate her birthday which started when she reached her 55th birthday. She has this kind acts celebration that has made her a very popular person in Vancouver Washington when she was award the Kindness 911 from the not for profit group of the same name on her 60th birthday. Laurie has this belief that through prayers from her relatives and her prayer warriors, she will feel well again to teach her students as she is undergoing chemotherapy at this time. I wish all school teachers will follow her example since being kind to others will result in good karma coming back to her and others.

She is a true hero and inspiration. I would pray for her recovery. Hope she goes back to children soon. We need teachers who set examples to follow by their way of living.

I remember a self help speaker named Les Brown saying some like that good deeds are like perfume. Spray it on someone and the good aroma comes to you as well.
