Rock Love, Day 13: Space Age Love Song

Oh, no, I’m doing it again. Such a diverse split between the country and the rock song in the dual countdowns of songs with “love” in the title that you may worry about me. Don’t. Worry about the neighbors who have to hear both! Here’s today’s “love” song. Space Age Love Song - A Flock of Seagulls You remember these guys? A Flock of Haircuts (for the lead singer/keyboardist Mike Score’s unique [even for the 80s] hair style)? Their big hit, “I Ran”? As you probably know (even if you just started reading my music posts), I’m a little (okay, a lot) weird on the music taste side of things. I can name a dozen acts where I love the lesser-known follow-up much, much better than the “big hit.” This is one of them. It isn’t that I don’t like “I Ran,” but this is so much better than that song. I got to see these guys open for the Police in 1982. And, in that strange world of rock and roll, front man Score, who had the wild hair in the 80s, is bald now. Space Age Love Song Written by Mike Score, Paul Reynolds, Frank Maudsley, and Ali Score Recorded by A Flock of Seagulls From A Flock of Seagulls, 1982 I saw your eyes:

But of course! And I really do like this one much better than “the big hit,” even though the big hit is pretty freaking cool.

@porwest — I’m a country music fan, so I loved the alt-country movement.

@FourWalls It was definitely a very unique era for sure. Grunge, to me, in the 90s was probably the last good era of music we had.

I recognize the artists' name but not the song. I'm a 60s and 70s kinda gal.
