Affaire Royale is the first book in Nora Roberts' Cordina's Royal Family series. It was published by Silhouette books in their Language of Love series. Here is the synopsis: "Every inch a princess, Gabriella had been found crumpled up and unconcious on the side of the road. Now she was supposedly safe, with her royal family she didn't remember...and a darkly handsome detective she'd never forget. Reeve MacGee had given her memories to treasure, but would he provide her with a brokenhearted future?" This book brings me pleasure every time I read it. It's only 218 pages and it keeps you captivated, wanting to know the answers. Gabriella may not have her memories after being found but she is still regal. Her stubbornness and headstrong attitude help her discover who she is day by day. You don't really feel sorry for her because she's working from the moment she wakes up in the hospital to remember anything and everything. Reeve MacGee, American ex-cop with a tentative tie to the Royal Family of Cordina. The prince and his father are friends so when the prince calls on him to help watch out for Gabriella as a bodyguard, Reeve can't refuse. At least that's what he tells himself. It has nothing to do with the puzzle being put in his lap regarding Gabriella or the fact that he can't seem to get the princess out of his mind. With the world against them, Reeve needs to figure out what danger the princess is really in and gt her memories back. What he didn't count on was falling for her in the process. Short and sweet. The perfect afternoon read on a rainy day :) *image from google*

There's an Omnibus with the three Cordina siblings. It's called Cordina's Royal Family. There's a fourth but it's its own little book
