Democrat Debate Tonight

For those of you who are democrats, liberals, progressives, or socialists (however you prefer to identify), there is a debate tonight on CNN starting at 7pm CST. I am a staunch Trump supporter (of course) and staunch republican, but I will be watching. Why? Because unlike the other side I actually want to pay attention to the other side and know what they are saying so that I can make an informed decision about what I agree with and disagree with. This is a tenet of conservative republicans actually. We don't just take in the conservative talking points of our conservative friends. We actually LISTEN and take in what the other side SAYS so we can make a fair analysis. A ton of jabs here of course. But if you want to watch the debate it is will be on. Know what you are voting for. It's the best you can do for yourself and for the country. I will be keeping a box of Kleenex handy though. If the past debates are any indication of tonight's, I am sure I will be crying laughing.

I couldn't stomach more than a few minutes last night. I don't like any of them.

I HAVE to watch. I cannot argue my point or have an opinion without knowing what the other side is about or what they have said. When I go to the voting booth you can BET I am informed.

@porwest Good for you. Who did you feel was the strongest voice in the debate?

@LindaOHio Probably the mayor and Klobuchar. But no one on the stage really stands a chance. And on the two choices, I am not saying either one of them said anything of value. But the question was who were the strongest voices. I felt they were the strongest.

I like to see what the other side of the fence plans to do try to convince to vote for them.

If I am not paying attention to both sides I have no business casting a vote at all is my take. If i ignore the other side how in the world can I make an informed decision and what right do I have to vote if I don't pay attention?

@Deepizzaguy Nothing irks me more is the thought of someone casting a vote that does not know the facts. But it happens all the time.

I just can't tune out. I HAVE to know what I am voting FOR or voting AGAINST. If I am not paying attention I have no business in the voting booth.

I really believe President Trump will be reelected, but we can't get complacent and not make an effort to vote. Good post, BTW.

I am not an American and I have no business in your politics. But let me ask about the debate, it is really essential that the result has a big effect on the chances in the nomination? I am just curious because over here, it seems that such debate has no effect because voters have already set their minds no who to vote for.

"Know what you are voting for. It's the best you can do for yourself and for the country." You've nailed it there, my friend. I agree 100%.

Thank you. I appreciate that. One thing the left is very well good at is NOT listening to anyone but those who agree with them. I think it does them a serious injustice.
