Canberra, my current place of residence in Australia was surrounded by bushfires. We had to cop poor quality of air, a fog of smokes has enveloped our city off and on since after the new year. There is no reason to evacuate, most of us wear masks. The people who suffer from asthma and are very sensitive to smoke inhalation has to stay indoors, or if they have a place to move interstate, they did just that. I’m not sure, what will be the effect of prolonged inhalation. I was sick with flu like symptoms at the onset of the fires. However, I feel OK now and I won’t wear the masks if I only have a brief time being outdoors. Have you experience fires and smoke inhalation yet?

It looks very smoky. I have been in such situations and it is difficult to breathe. I hope things will clear up for you

Yes, it is, most of us are now wearing a safety mask if we spend more time outdoors.
