when my father died, my mother took his old ties, and some of my grandfather's ties and made a quilt for me.
She also added pictures of my grandfather's and father's.
The quilt sits on the wall in the bedroom. I love this quilt!
I know, (@caroldm) reminded me that sometimes we get gifts that are special.

@JudyEv there really isn't. mom has a new machine that will embroider images. she made my wife a couch quilt for the winter with the names of all our kids!

a most special treasure fer certain! a necklace the daughter'n granddaughter 'd made fer me when i lost mr. cisco. 'tis not 'xpensive, but someone actually 'cknowledge my great loss 'n that'll touch me 'lways.

I have a small eraser note board with SpongeBob on it. One day, while house sitting while I was at work, my dear mother of blessed memory wrote “Today and every day, I love you” on it. I have it framed so the writing doesn’t fade or get damaged.
My mother was my gift from God!

That's a wonderful quilt. I don't have anything quite so remarkable. My 25th wedding anniversary ring makes me happy. This year my husband bought me a bracelet to go with the ring for our 50th!!
