Ouija Board - fun game or something else

The Ouija Board - reputedly a method of contacting the 'spirit world' - is a staple of the Hollywood horror movie. I have never used one but I have heard stories from friends who have and some of them are quite disturbing. None have actually been confronted by a real-life evil spirit but several friends have recounted tales of strange happenings involving objects being (allegedly) moved by an unseen hand, or barely-audible voices whispering in the darkened corners of the room, odd odours or a 'creepy' feeling and shivers up the spine.
How true these stories are is debatable but, considering the recent disturbing instances in my home, I'm not about to dismiss them out of hand. A quick internet search will bring up all sorts of horror stories about ouija boards but, again, the reliability of these is questionable. Although the Catholic church sternly warns people against using them many do so anyway and here's a 'fun fact' for you - ouija boards are on sale in many toy and gaming stores and Amazon also sell them! So are they merely a game or are they a dangerous device to be avoided at all costs?

I had a scary run-in with a Ouija Board and put it in the back of my closet for years and refused to touch it.

When it comes to supernatural activities, I am torn between believing and not believing. But what I don't like in documentaries about it is that they only show the interviews and nothing more, no hard evidence.

@ScotMac you are right. That's why I don't watch such documentaries which is usually shown during the Holy Week of the Catholics.

By its very nature hard evidence of the supernatural is hard to find

I think if you think hard enough using the board you may invite trouble in.
