I realized a short while ago, I hadn't posted the health report for yesterday. It was a good day starting in the pool and fitness center. My fitness tracker battery died, so I needed to guess at the steps, but I duplicated everything this morning and was able to get as close to the actual steps as possible. I knew how many steps there were before it died, so that helped.
I haven't wanted to eat a lot lately. I guess I have a lot on my mind with getting Legacy finished and ready to publish. Two things happen when I'm in writing mode. One, I don't get a lot of sleep, and two, I don't eat a lot. Yesterday was one of those days as I finished Legacy for the second read-through. I'm currently working on the third read and edit. I'm still filling in gaps and making certain the reader sees what I see as I'm writing.
Okay, here are yesterday's numbers.
Calories: 1091
Breakfast - Banana, eggs, potato w/alternative sour cream, and turkey bacon.
Snack - Chocolate bar.
Lunch/Supper - Chocolate pancakes with unsweetened cinnamon applesauce.

Sodium: 497
Fat: 51.5
Calories burned -

Swimming - 388
Elliptical - 20 minutes - 157
Total calories burned - 805
Total calories - 286
I found out an interesting fact today about sodium. Though the minimum daily requirement is 500, sodium is important to muscle function. I've been having a lot of muscle cramps in my feet and ankles for the past couple of months. I haven't had enough sodium. I will be increasing it to a minimum of 1000. The article I read said not to go over 1600. More than that leads to high blood pressure and stroke. The average person consumes 3500 mg of sodium per day which also causes water weight and swelling.
With the stew, I had a couple of days ago that I thought had an overload of sodium with the barbecue sauce, it was actually beneficial. It stopped the muscle cramps.
How did you do with food and exercise? Thanks for reading. Image courtesy of Pixabay.

I definitely need more exercise but I eat as much as I feel like and it seems to be enough for me. Today I had a tuna fish sandwich and a can of vegetable soup.

For what I know an ideal limit of sodium would be no more than 1,500 mg per day for "most" adults. Then you have to check with your doctor in case of high blood pressure. Low sodium is the cause of muscle cramps only during long runs, this should not be the cause for you.

@just4him Beware the online medical site. My doctor told me stop looking at those site that they only have the label "medical". I know she is right. My brother got so angry when I showed him a so called medical site, he said that they should be denounced.

@LadyDuck I don't rely on Internet sites. I have seen the information in that post several times from various places. As for the muscle cramps, they're gone. I'm not going to go nuts with sodium as I know how it reacts on me, but keeping it around 1000 should be acceptable.
As for my doctor - He's useless. I've talked to him several times about my sodium and he's been silent on the issue.

@Tampa_girl7 I'm working on it. I'm taking breaks every so often to get my steps in since I can't leave home to do so.
